Ernest Airlines takes off from Malpensa

Ernest Airlines, the new 100% Italian company with Swedish capital connects Malpensa to Tirana.


On June 1st, Ernest Airlines based at Malpensa inaugurated daily flights for Tirana operated with a 141-seat Airbus 319 to which an Airbus 320 will be added. During the inauguration ceremony the CEO, David Girhammar, stated that Ernest will not only be limited to the Albanian route.

In fact, the company is already thinking of new routes that soon will be announced to the market. Ernest’s face, the stylised symbol of a man with a beard that looks like Hemingway, is placed on the rear of the aircraft and is the enthusiasm and creativity of the young company.
