Get ready to pack your luggage for Zara! easyJet will be running three flights a week between Milan Malpensa and the Croatian city from 27 June.
The ancient capital of Dalmatia, Zadar is one of the most famous and enchanting tourist destinations in the Mediterranean. It is a lively place, with several museums and art galleries, elegant squares and quaint streets to explore. Don’t miss the two modern installations which combine human genius with natural beauty and have come to symbolise the city: the Sea Organ and the Sun Salutation, which offers up stunning sunsets over the sea. The market of fruit, vegetables and fish is one of the largest on the Dalmatian coast, selling a range of local products including artisanal cheese, olive oil and homemade spirits such as maraschino, the city’s local sour cherry liqueur. Zadar is a great base from which to visit the Plitvice Lakes National Park, the Paklenica National Park and the Krka National Park.
